How to claim a Singapore Toto prize
Checked your numbers and think you have won? Here is how claiming works for Singapore Toto: the 180-day deadline, where to claim each amount, what to bring, and how online winnings are paid. Always confirm the latest rules with Singapore Pools before you go.
1. Check the ticket first
Compare your ticket with the official result on Singapore Pools' website or app. TotoLab's results pages are updated automatically after each draw, but they are for information only — the official result is the one that counts. Remember that Groups 2, 4 and 6 depend on the additional number; see prize groups explained.
2. Mind the deadline: 180 days
Singapore Pools says prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date, counting weekends and public holidays. Unclaimed prizes go to donations and grants managed by the Tote Board.
For tickets bought at an outlet, lottery prizes can be collected from the day after the draw, during operating hours.
3. Where to claim, by amount (physical tickets)
| Prize amount | Where | How you are paid |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 and below | Any Singapore Pools outlet | Cash or PayNow |
| Above $5,000, up to $20,000 | Any Singapore Pools outlet | PayNow |
| Up to $200,000 | Singapore Pools Main Branch | PayNow |
| Any large amount | Singapore Pools Main Branch | Cheque |
The Main Branch handles prize collection on weekdays during office hours (Singapore Pools lists the times on its website); it is closed on public holidays. PayNow payouts for physical tickets go only to NRIC-linked PayNow accounts — mobile-number-linked PayNow is not accepted.
4. What to bring
- The winning ticket itself. Toto tickets are bearer tickets: Singapore Pools pays whoever presents a valid winning ticket within the claim period. Only the ticket holder can claim.
- Original photo ID for cheque collection — NRIC for Singapore citizens and permanent residents, or passport for foreigners. The name and identification must match your bank records.
- An undamaged ticket. A winning ticket must not be torn, mutilated or defaced. Keep it flat, dry and somewhere safe — a photo of the ticket is not a claim.
5. Online bets: paid automatically
If you bought your entry through a Singapore Pools Account, there is nothing to claim. Lottery winnings are credited to your account automatically, generally within 12 hours of the results being verified, and you can then withdraw them.
6. Multi-draw tickets
If your ticket covers several draws and one of them has resulted, you can claim for that draw and receive an exchanged ticket for the outstanding draws. On the day of an outstanding draw, these claims are not available after 6:05 PM.
Good habits for every ticket
- Note the draw date and set a reminder well inside the 180-day window.
- Check System and wheel tickets carefully: one draw can produce several winning combinations on the same ticket.
- Large win? Take your time. Get the ticket to the Main Branch safely, and consider independent financial advice before making big decisions.
